So one of the things you’ll learn as you’re on Accutane is your skin- especially your face- will be dry- dry- dry. For me it was my cheeks that would get dry and flaky- and impossibly to coverup- until I met The Body Shop’s Concealer.
While I was on my Accutane treatment I actually used Aveeno’s Baby Lotion on my face as my go to moisturizer and currently use Aveeno’s Eczema Therapy Lotion as needed on my face- as thats what I currently have at home as I use it for my eczema.
But a while back I got a sample of Kate Somerville’s Nourish Daily Moisturizer while I was at Nordstrom and finally decided to try it since my skin is going through some dry spots :P.
1) Its really lightweight compared to most facial moisturizer/what I’m used to which is Aveeno’s cream which is not actually formulated as a facial moisturizer (but its non comedogenic- so it won’t clog your pores).
2) Its formulated for sensitive skin so compared to other facial moisturizers (i.e. Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream- I’ll do a review on that sometime soon)- it doesn’t sting/burn that much- which is nice.
3) It has a citrusy scent to it- its not that bad but I personally like things with no scent at all- so something of what like Aveeno has.
Overall- its a nice lightweight moisturizer. It is more on the expensive side (and that is why I love Aveeno), so if you have a Sephora nearby definitely shop there- I LOVE Sephora’s return policy!
